Christmas Elf Planner

A4, fits US Letter · 21 pages · color and black & white · printable PDF

An elf moves in behind your little elf door in December – and at ten at night you remember he has to get up to something tomorrow? This planner takes the thinking out of it: 24 ready-to-go elf days with a matching letter, printables to cut out and a weekly plan, so you prep once on Sunday and just set things out in the evening.

A look inside

What's inside

WITH ROLF THE SNOWMAN

On day 2 the elf builds a snowman from toilet paper and a sock. Rolf keeps turning up in little episodes – he writes in mirror writing, goes missing and gets found, and at the end he travels to the North Pole with the elf. Only ideas 1, 2 and 24 have set dates, you choose when to do the others.

24 ELF IDEAS

From a secret meeting with a vote, a Lost & Found and fishing day in the sink to a treasure hunt with clue cards and a hallway airport, all the way to the farewell party. Every idea comes with:

  • what the kids find in the morning – and what they do themselves (draw, search, answer, vote)
  • supplies, setup time and mess level
  • age and notes where needed (e.g. small parts)
  • 18 of 24 need no extra shopping if you have the listed things at home

No food is wasted, nothing gets broken, nothing invites climbing.

LETTERS

  • a short elf letter to cut out for every idea (same number)
  • a big arrival letter and a farewell letter with blanks for your favorite moments
  • 2 emergency letters, 3 treasure-hunt clue cards, a letter for real snow, 2 blank letters
  • 8 reply letters where the kids write or draw to the elf

PRINTABLES

Ballots and agenda, signs for Lost & Found, construction site and "Missing", Rolf's mirror-writing letter, paper fish, weather report, take-a-number tickets, question cards, runway signs, half pictures to finish, a luggage tag and a paper elf to cut out in case you don't have a figure.

ELF SUNDAY

Once a week: pick the ideas, gather supplies, cut out the letters. The weekly sheet is your packing list; depending on the calendar year you need four or five of them.
